“Leah has been coaching our grandson Zachary for the last five years, since he was 5 years old. During this short period, his ability, confidence and enjoyment of golf has multiplied exponentially. Leah has managed to get the best out of Zac and I am sure that with Leah’s continued support he is destined to be a great golfer."

Kind regards

“Coach Leah is an exceptional individual and thoroughly deserving of consideration for the award.

I was keen to get my daughter, Lily, into golf and wondered whether it was too early to start at the age of 4. But I found Leah through her website, which was so clear and informative and more than reassuring for someone who was unsure whether kids this young could learn. It was clear Leah had really thought about what parents wanted to know if they were going to send their children to Leah's sessions. You can see the thought that has gone into what works, and what doesn't work with kids - everything from the length of classes, to the size and variation at each lesson.

From a parent's perspective (customer), she never makes it feel like a business transaction. She has always made me feel like she is focused on making sure the level and environment was right for my daughter to feel comfortable at any one week's lesson, but also so that she can thrive in the long term.

Leah's enthusiasm and energy is always on show, whatever the weather! The kids all love her and she is so patient with them, ensuring that they are safe but above all enjoying the golf to help them fall in love with it for the long term. Leah keeps the kids engaged with fun, relevant games, using new technology and other props, all whilst making sure they follow some basic rules to stay safe too.

Lily had never played when she first started playing with Leah. She has now advanced up from the 4-6 year olds group to the 7-9 year olds and you can see the progress being made. I have no doubt, it's been due to Leah's great support and encouragement. She has really helped nurture her love for the game. As a parent, I am always grateful to Leah for all her efforts.

I have recommended the golf classes here at Bletchingley golf club to other parents, because it is led by Leah. I suspect there are a lot of kids who come across the lessons through word of mouth.”

“Leah has been an absolutely fantastic golf coach for my daughter, Dorothy. From the very beginning she has created such a positive, welcoming and engaging environment that has really helped Dorothy develop both her confidence and enjoyment of the game.

Leah’s approach to coaching younger players is incredibly intuitive. She has a natural ability to explain techniques in a way that children understand, while keeping the sessions fun and interactive. Dorothy always comes away from her lessons excited, confident & keen to explain the activities.

What stands out most is how Leah balances skill development with games. The activities and exercises she runs are engaging and thoughtfully designed, helping young players build the fundamentals of golf without it ever feeling pressured or overly technical. This has made a huge difference in keeping Dorothy enthusiastic about the sport.

It’s clear that Leah genuinely cares about developing young golfers and building their confidence in safe space. We feel very lucky that Dorothy has the opportunity to learn from such a positive and encouraging coach, and we would highly recommend Leah any parents looking to introduce their children to golf in a fun, supportive and professional environment.”

Keep up the great job Pea Wea 👍

“My daughter has worked with Leah as her golf coach since she first started, aged 2/3 in the Pea Wea groups.

6 years later, aged 9, my daughter’s love of the game, and ability has grown. Leah didn’t just teach her to swing a club, but also helped build her confidence, her discipline, and her love for the game.

My daughter has had other coaches in both golf and other sports but her connection that she has built with Leah is second to none. What sets her apart is the way she teaches: calm, patient, and observant, but also bringing a huge amount of fun and creativity to her lessons, both group and individual. Leah gets my daughter, she understands how to get the best from her and she truly gets on her level. More than that, Leah celebrates her progress, supports her through setbacks, and treats her development with the same care and pride as if she were her own.

I myself have sought Leah’s support as a father trying to not be overbearing on the course and she has always taken time to ensure my daughter is getting the best from me as dad and not coach. The growth she’s achieved under Leah’s coaching has been lovely to see, and I can say without hesitation that she is one of the most dedicated and impactful junior coaches I’ve seen.

I’ve coached kids, I was a former teacher and know how much it gives and takes to be so impactful, valued and loved by those you have in your tutelage and I can say without hesitation Leah is probably the best at what she does. She deserves all the recognition that she gets.”
